The Centre for Student Welfare (CSW) is established to ensure the holistic development, well-being, discipline, and inclusive growth of students. The Centre functions as a central coordinating and facilitating body for student-centric departments and activities, providing structured support beyond academics and fostering leadership, social responsibility, cultural awareness, ethical conduct, and civic engagement.
It is committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The CSW serves as a platform to identify and address the diverse needs of students, offering guidance, mentorship, and resources to enhance personal growth, resilience, and life skills. By integrating academic learning with co-curricular and extracurricular experiences, the Centre promotes a balanced and well-rounded development of students.
Through systematic planning, collaboration with various institutional units, and adherence to ethical and statutory standards, the CSW aims to cultivate responsible, socially conscious, and culturally aware citizens. It encourages students to actively participate in initiatives that foster community engagement, gender equity, environmental awareness, and leadership opportunities, thereby contributing to their individual success as well as the overall quality and reputation of the institution.
The scope of the Centre for Student Welfare (CSW) encompasses the structured planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and documentation of all student welfare activities across the institution through a well-defined and decentralized framework. Student Welfare Cells function at the School level under the supervision of the respective Assistant Dean and maintain close coordination with the Centre for effective execution and reporting. All activities are carried out through three officially approved umbrella bodies—Student Welfare Club, Social Welfare Club, and Cultural Club—ensuring clarity of roles, transparency, and uniform governance. These clubs collectively address diverse aspects of student development, including health and wellness, discipline, financial support, community engagement, social responsibility, and cultural enrichment, while strictly adhering to institutional objectives, statutory norms, and accreditation requirements.
The scope further extends to the functioning of specialized sub-clubs and units under each umbrella club, which systematically cater to specific domains such as healthcare, educational tours, discipline, financial assistance, rural development initiatives, blood donation, national service, defence training, and creative and literary activities. Through these structured mechanisms, the CSW promotes holistic student development by fostering leadership, social awareness, cultural participation, and ethical conduct. It also ensures that no parallel or unapproved bodies operate outside this framework, thereby maintaining consistency, accountability, and quality in all student welfare initiatives while contributing to the overall growth and reputation of the institution.
To create a supportive, inclusive, and student-centered institutional environment that nurtures academic excellence, holistic personal growth, discipline, social responsibility, and ethical values. The Centre envisions empowering students with leadership qualities, cultural sensitivity, civic consciousness, and a spirit of service, enabling them to become responsible citizens and confident leaders committed to societal well-being, national development, and lifelong learning. Through structured welfare initiatives and participatory governance, the Centre aims to foster a campus culture rooted in equity, integrity, creativity, and mutual respect.
