The Centre for Competitive Exams at Baba Farid Group of Institutions (BFGI) has been established as a dedicated initiative to guide, mentor and prepare students for various competitive examinations and career opportunities. The Centre reflects the institution’s commitment to strengthening student employability and supporting the broader vision of BFGI’s evolving University Model of education, where academic learning is integrated with career readiness.

In today’s dynamic and competitive world, securing meaningful employment requires more than academic qualifications. It demands strong analytical abilities, awareness of current affairs, problem-solving skills and a competitive mindset. Recognizing these requirements, BFGI has created the Centre for Competitive Examinations a structured platform that provides students with systematic guidance and training for a wide range of competitive examinations conducted by State Governments, the Central Government, Public Sector organizations and reputed Private Sector companies.

Through expert mentoring, well-designed training programs, regular mock tests and focused skill development sessions, the Centre prepares students for examinations ranging from clerical and administrative positions to higher-level services such as the Punjab Civil Services (PCS), Haryana Civil services (HCS), Rajasthan Civil Services (RAS) and the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), depending on the aptitude and aspirations of the students.

Scope

The Centre for Competitive Exams functions as a centralized academic and training platform that serves students from various institutions and academic streams of BFGI.

The Centre organizes structured coaching classes, mock tests, workshops, seminars and awareness programs related to a wide range of national and state-level competitive examinations.

It also collaborates with academic departments, external subject experts and training partners to provide updated learning resources and examination strategies to students.

Through these initiatives, the Centre aims to create a supportive and motivating learning ecosystem where students can explore competitive career opportunities and prepare systematically for examinations such as PCS, IAS, banking, SSC, teaching eligibility tests and other public and private sector recruitments.

Collaboration with Arora Classes, Bathinda

To further strengthen the quality of competitive examination preparation, Baba Farid Group of Institutions (BFGI) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Arora Classes, a reputed institute based in Bathinda known for its strong track record in government examination coaching.

Under this collaboration, specialized coaching batches are conducted on the BFGI campus during the regular academic schedule. The initiative integrates competitive examination preparation with students’ ongoing degree programs, enabling them to simultaneously pursue higher education and prepare for government careers.

As part of this initiative, the BA Plus Programme has been introduced for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program. This innovative program allows students to receive structured training for various government competitive examinations while completing their three-year undergraduate degree.

Arora Classes is widely recognized for providing focused coaching for Punjab Government examinations, teaching eligibility tests, SSC, banking and other competitive examinations. The institute offers foundation courses, crash courses and comprehensive test series in both online and offline modes, helping thousands of aspirants strengthen their preparation.
