The Centre for Competitive Examinations at Baba Farid Group of Institutions (BFGI) has been established as a dedicated initiative to guide, mentor and prepare students for various competitive examinations and career opportunities. The Centre reflects the institution’s commitment towards strengthening student employability and supporting the evolving university Model of education at BFGI, where academic learning is integrated with career readiness and professional development.
In today’s highly competitive environment, success in Government, Public Sector and reputed Private Sector careers requires much more than academic qualifications. It demands analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, communication skills, awareness of current affairs and a disciplined competitive mindset. Recognizing these emerging requirements, BFGI has developed the Centre for Competitive Examinations as a structured platform for systematic preparation, expert guidance and professional mentoring.
The Centre provides coaching and academic support for various State-level and National-level examinations conducted by Government agencies, Public Sector Undertakings and professional organizations. Through classroom sessions, practice-based learning, mock tests, seminars, workshops and career guidance programmes, students are trained to perform effectively in competitive examinations while pursuing their academic degrees.

BA Plus Program
As part of its innovative and career-oriented academic initiatives, the Centre offers the BA Plus Program for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme.
The BA Plus Program is specially designed to integrate graduation studies with competitive examination preparation. Through this programme, students receive structured classroom guidance, regular practice sessions, mock tests and focused preparation for various Government examinations during their undergraduate studies.
The program helps students prepare simultaneously for higher education and Government career opportunities, thereby enhancing employability, confidence and future career prospects.
CA Foundation Classes in Collaboration with UNCRAM Academy
The Centre has also initiated CA Foundation Classes for Baba Farid Senior Secondary School students in collaboration with UNCRAM Academy. The initiative provides students with early professional guidance and structured preparation for the Chartered Accountancy (CA) Foundation examination alongside their regular academic studies. Through expert mentoring, conceptual learning and examination-oriented preparation, students are guided in subjects related to commerce, accounting and aptitude development. The programme aims to strengthen professional skills, competitive readiness and career awareness among aspiring finance and accounting professionals.
Excellent Results in PSTET 2026
The School of Education & Research, in collaboration with the Centre for Competitive Examinations, proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of its students in the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2026. A total of 79 students successfully qualified the examination, reflecting their dedication, perseverance and commitment to the teaching profession. This remarkable success is a testament to the quality of academic guidance, continuous mentoring, and structured preparation provided by the faculty members. It also reinforces the institution's commitment to nurturing competent, skilled and professionally qualified future educators while fostering a culture of academic excellence and competitive success.
Excellent Performance in GATE 2026
Students of Baba Farid Group of Institutions demonstrated remarkable achievement in GATE 2026, where 2 students from the Computer Science & Engineering stream qualified the examination. The achievement reflects the strong academic foundation, technical knowledge and competitive preparation culture promoted at BFGI.
