Centre for Career Guidance and Counseling

The Centre for Career Guidance and Counselling has been established to support students in making informed academic and career decisions. In the present competitive environment, students require appropriate guidance to identify their interests, abilities, and career opportunities. The Centre serves as a platform to provide systematic career information, Counselling, and skill development support.

Through various guidance programs, workshops, and Counselling sessions, the Centre helps students understand diverse career paths and prepares them to meet the challenges of higher education and employment.

Objectives

The major objectives of the Centre are:

  • To provide accurate and updated information about career opportunities.
  • To assist students in identifying their interests, aptitudes, and abilities.
  • To guide students in making appropriate academic and career choices.
  • To organize career awareness seminars and counselling sessions to address academic and career-related concerns.
  • To develop employability and life skills among students.
  • To create awareness about higher education, competitive examinations, and professional courses.

Scope

The Centre for Career Guidance and Counselling provides services aimed at supporting the overall development of students. The scope of the Centre includes:

  • Providing career-related information and guidance.
  • Conducting individual and group Counselling sessions.
  • Assisting students in career planning and goal setting.
  • Guiding students regarding higher education and professional opportunities.

Activities

The Centre has organised the following activities from the date of establishment in the BFGI:

  • Expert session on ‘Latest IT technologies and career opportunities’ was organized on 13th March 2026 by Career Guidance and Counselling cell, School of Computer Sciences.
  • ‘Orientation and career awareness’ seminar was conducted on 10th March 2026 by Career guidance and Counselling Cell, school of Humanities.
  • Career Guidance session on ‘Career Guidance: Finding New Paths of Career for Gen Z’ on 05 March 2026 by Career Guidance and Counselling Cell, School of Business studies.
