Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell at BFGI promotes innovation in today’s technology-driven world. It supports creation, protection, and commercialization of intellectual assets. The Cell guides faculty, researchers, and students on patents, copyrights, trademarks, and technology transfer, while fostering awareness and collaboration to ensure ideas are safeguarded and effectively utilized for socio-economic development and public benefit and sustainable growth.

  • Objectives

    • To establish BFGI as a leading research institution by promoting teaching, innovation, and dissemination of Intellectual Property for societal benefit.
    • To develop a transparent system for ownership, protection, licensing, and management of IPR generated within the institute.
    • To encourage transformation of ideas into inventions and innovations with strong commercialization potential.
    • To create awareness and provide knowledge on IP laws, rights, and protection among faculty, students, and researchers.

Scope

To promote IPR awareness among faculty, researchers, and students, and provide support for identification, protection, filing, and management of intellectual property at BFGI.

To ensure inventor rights, enable commercialization, foster industry–academia collaboration, and disseminate research outcomes for societal and sustainable development.
